More than 20 ships on the Gijón Trip

First edition of the Regata-Trip Puerto Deportivo Gijón, which is born in the spirit of promoting the coastal navigation enjoying the landscape, the company of other ships, know other ports.

The presentation was made by the Councillor of Tourism, Sports, Festejos and Youth, Jesús Martínez Salvador, and the director of the Sports Port, Flor Guardado Herrero. We were accompanied in the presentation by the Vice-President of the Federation of Vela of the Principality of Asturias, Marcelo Villanueva; the Lieutenant Chief of the Maritime Service of the Civil Guard, Vicente Montiel; representatives of parliamentary groups of the City of Gijón; participants and sponsors.

Since 2006 the team of the Gijón Sports Port has been collaborating in the organization of races such as the Solitaire de Figaro, The World Championship of Class 40, Mini Pavois, etc., and other non-professional but very significant by the number of participants such as Pornic, Royan, etc. Now is our time, the time to organize a nautical sports event with which to contribute to the development of the candle with this 1st Regata- Trip of the Gijón Sports Port. This event has the participation of Gijón, Avilés, Luanco, País Vasco and PortMedoc.
