The Canaries Gustavo and Rafael del Castillo (RCN Gran Canaria) have proclaimed themselves in the waters of the Minor Sea new Spanish champions of the Snipe class in a last day of infarction and in which the favorites, including them, have not been successful, causing many changes in the general after the first test of the day, leaving everything to decide in the second, eighth and last of the championship.

The Del Castillo brothers depended on themselves to shut down the national in the first test. It wasn't like that. A little bit of a test in which they signed a 33, but it wasn't gonna work out for the rest of them either. The premises Francisco (CN Campello) and Marina Sánchez (RCR Santiago de la Ribera) in 16, Damián Borras and Sara Franceschi (CN Mahón) in 22 and Jordi Triay and Arturo Barranco, from the same club, in 19, to quote one of them. Who did show something finer was the Portuguese Malfada Pires with Francisco Maia who managed to finish this test at the 8th.

In the second test of the day, with very tight results in the classification, no one could afford to fail. In this line and after a good departure from the Canaries Del Castillo, he managed to place himself in a comfortable position at the top of the fleet, allowing him to control his direct rivals. After the three dyes and two dusks the canaries signed an eleventh job, a partial that had no problems as their rivals were also not fine.

After the three days of competition in which the established program of 8 tests has been completed, the canary tandem formed by Gustavo and Rafael del Castillo (RCN Gran Canaria) has been made with Spanish Snipe championship with 43 points. The national podium is closed with Juanma Barrionuevo and Alejandro Díaz (CN Los Nietos) adding 56 points, while the third square has been for Juan Manuel Cajade and Alexandre Tinoco (RCN A Coruña) with 58 points.

The second day of the Spanish Snipe championship in the Minor Sea is closed with important changes in the provisional general, after the discard has been applied after the fourth trial, first of today... the canaries Gustavo and Rafael del Castillo del Real Club Náutico Gran Canaria, have been very strong in Santiago de la Ribera and have offered few options to the rest of the fleet. In the first test his dominion was to be absolute by achieving his first partial triumph in the Minor Sea.

The Francisco (CN Campello) and Marina (RCR Santiago de la Ribera) Sánchez after a spectacular rebound after the first step through the sotavento door achieved a second meritorious square. Another of the favorites: Jordi Triay and Arturo Barranco (CN Mahón) stayed with the third square after a last well-worked stretch.

The canaries began the second test also determined to lay land in the middle after a good exit. In the end and after a nice fight with the Portuguese Mafalda Pires and Francisco Maia, they saw that this first position was escaping from their hands, leaving seconds behind the Portuguese tandem. A partial triumph, the second in today's and what we have as the champion, that leaves them in the first square of the provisional general with 12 points, to 8 of the second: Mafalda Pires and Francisco Maia, while the third place is for the Sanchez brothers with 29 points, being the second in the national podium followed by Jordi Triay and Arturo Barranco with 34 points, holding the fourth place of the general.
