The Spanish representation was fifth

The Spanish team formed by Marta Cardona (Club Nàutic s'Arenal), Neus Ballester (Club Sa Ràpita), Quidel Villalba (Club Nàutic Sant Antoni) and Manuel Martín (Real Club Náutico de Palma) get the fifth place in the European Championship of Optimist by teams.

The European took place in the Italian Lago de Ledro, with the participation of 15 countries (Greece, Turkey, Germany, Poland, Switzerland, Israel, Austria, Spain, Slovenia, Russia, Italy, Great Britain, Hungary and Denmark). This is the final classification:
