Viguese institutions close ranks with European Laser Master's organizers

The Vigo institutions have closed ranks in the face of the logistical problems arising from the accident experienced in the past days on the occasion of O Marisquiño, and have offered all their support to both the Bouzas Maritime Liceo and the Vigo Maritime Club so that the European Laser Master Championship 2018 will be a complete success, and the Vigo city will pass with outstanding that which will be the most important light sailing race in the history of the Vela de Galicia at all times.

The most responsible of the event have already been cited by the Harbour Authority of Vigo for next Monday in the first hour of the morning, in order to analyse the situation and offer alternative solutions to the spaces that have been concluded for a time in the so-called "zero zone" of the Nautico. The one that is the star test of the Abanca Week, has already secured the participation of 165 ships from 18 countries. The "European Navy" of Spain, Portugal, France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Italy, Germany, Sweden, Austria, Poland, Lithuania, Norway and Switzerland have joined the United States with a wide representation, as well as Argentina and Brazil, given the status of open of this competition. Of the 165 registered ones that are expected to be some more (15 days to close the registration), 125 laser have already been admitted, which have all the pronouncements of Jean Luc Michón, the highest responsible for this Olympic class at European level.

The official support that began from the hand of the Concello de Vigo and the Receptación de Pontevedra, is now from all of the City, the case of the Harbour Authority of Vigo, the Consortium of the Free Zone, as well as the Xeral Secretariat for O Sporte, the Real Federación Española de Vela, the Real Federación Galician de Vela and the Superior Council of Sports and many private companies.

It should be noted that several clubs from all of the Spanish and Portuguese geography have offered to Liceo and Marítimo their support, such as the Monte Real Club de Yates de Baiona, the Club Marítimo de Canido, the Club Náutico de Cambrils that moves Vigo to its sports director Pep Subirats or the Real Club Náutico de La Coruña represented by Alberto Bolibar, or the Basque sailing with Ion Echave... in a European Championship that has as director Joao Allen of Portugal and the main regatta officer to which has been in the Serrano and Brazil:
