Three days of intense competition where young surfers demonstrated the high potential of the national quarry

The Basque Iker Amatriain and the Cantabra Angela Ayesa in sub18; the Canaries Paolo Giorgi and Melania Suárez in Sub16 and the Basque Iker Trigueros and Janire González Etxebarri in Sub 14 get the title of Spanish Champions 2018.

The new edition of the Costa de Liencres, held on the beach of Valdearenas, enjoyed three days of intense surfing last weekend. The best junior national surfers had the opportunity to compete for the individual Spanish championship in addition to getting the last points for the FESURFING Junior Series ranking.

After the decision of the technical management, during the last Spanish Championship 2018, to postpone the categories Sub18, Sub16 and Sub14 for the scarcity of waves during the event held in Galicia in June. Young national talents took this new opportunity to demonstrate their quality in all kinds of waves.

In the final sub 18, the Basque vencedoresel Iker Amatriain and the Cantabra Angela Ayesa would be proclaimed. With a total score of 15.65, the Basque would be proclaimed champion ahead of Tomas Zarronadia, Axel Lopez and Hugo Palazuelos. In the female category Angela, with 8.40 points, would be imposed ahead of Sara Urrseti, Violeta Sánchez and Belén Botín.

In the category sub 16 the canaries Paolo Giorgi and Melania Suárezse would rise with the victory with 12.60 and 10.60 points respectively. Paolo would take the victory ahead of Sean Gunning, Bitor Garitaonandia and Enrique Suárez. For its part, Melania would do it ahead of Laura de los Reyes, Lola Bermudez and Andrea Buch.

In the category of sub 14 the Vassos Iker Trigueros and Janire Lincollezwere proclaimed new Spanish champions with 13.75 and 16.60 points each one. Iker was in front of Jacobo Trigo, Diego Martin and Kai Odriozola. And Janire would do it ahead of Maren del Campo, Susana García and Lucia Martínez.

17 / 08 / 2018: Days in Costa de Liencres, last date of the Fesurfing Junior Series and National Championship

The check will take place on the beach of Valdearenas (Liencres) for the different categories and will be for days... the competition direction of the test in search of the best conditions for the athletes has made a competition box that is distributed as follows:

Friday: male sub18, female sub18, male sub16
Saturday: female sub16, male sub14 and female sub14
Sunday: sub12 and all finals will be made

The award will be held on the same Sunday and the time estimated by the leadership of the championship is expected to be 17: 30... during the days of the surfer's checking will be at 8: 00 in the morning and will be held for the categories that are played during that day.
