President of the Galician of Remo Manolo Seijas, the mayor of Castrelo de Miño, Baltar president of the Deputation and the president of the Spanish of Remo Asunción LOriente

The president of the Diputación de Ourense, Manuel Baltar, announced in the Nautico de Castrelo de Miño that Ourense is the province chosen, unanimously, to host the Coupe de la Jeunesse 2021. In the event, in which she was accompanied by the president of the Spanish Federation of Remo, Asunción Loriente; the president of the Galician Federation of Remo, José Manuel Seijas; and the mayor of Castrelo de Miño, Xurxo Rodríguez, presented this rowing sport event.

"Today Ourense is pleased to be able to host an international competition, "said the president of the provincial government, who thanked the work of the INORDE manager, José Manuel Rodríguez, "for being the one to present a candidacy sufficiently powerful and well-worked, which was presented in Cork (Ireland) by the President of the Spanish Federation of Remo and which was unanimously approved by all the countries represented there so that Spain will receive, for the second time, in particular Ourense and Castrelo de Miño, the seat of the Youth Cup in 2021."

At the Ordinary Assembly of the Coupe de la Jeunesse, held on 28 July in Cork (Ireland), the member countries unanimously voted that Ourense, and in particular the municipality of Castrelo de Miño, is the seat of the 2021 edition. The candidacy, presented by the president of the Spanish Federation of Remo, was prepared jointly with the Diputación de Ourense, through the Institute of Economic Development (INORDE).

Since its inception, this Championship was held in Belgium on six occasions, in France on three occasions, in Italy five times (it will also be held in 2019), in Switzerland four times, in Ireland on three, in Britain also three, in the Netherlands twice, and once in Poland, Portugal, Spain (Bañolas), Hungary and Austria, the latter being also in 2020. In 2021, it will be the province of Ourense the seat of this Championship to be held in Castrelo de Miño.
