The 47th Nautical Week of El Puerto de Santa María will release on Wednesday, August 15 with the first qualifying tests for the classes Optimist, Laser Radial, Laser 4.7, Sailing Skate and 420. About 300 regatists will be in charge of raising the curtain in the Gaditan bay to the big week of the Sailing that includes the celebration of the 24th Regata Juan de La Cosa and the 47th Nautical Week for the Cruise class. Both tests that will come to put the point of view in the bay and province of Gaditana this next week, were presented on the terraces of the RCN of El Puerto de Santa María in an act that presided al- alimón the president of the Royal Nautical Club of El Puerto de Santa María, Santiago Villagrán, and the president of the organizing committee of the Nautical Week, Jose María Escribano Ivison.

For the fourth consecutive year the two great races come together to join forces and facilitate the participation of the crews that will arrive from the different ports and clubs of the province of Cadiz and also from other locations on the Andalusian and Spanish coast. Also for the fifth consecutive year, the light candle will be in charge of lifting the curtain with the beginning of its tests on Wednesday, August 15. The novelty comes this year with a day in which they will coincide by sailing all, light sail and cruises or what is the same, regatists between the children and veteran categories.

With three days of testing ahead, the classes Optimist, Laser Radial, Laser 4.7, 420 and Sailing Skate will be in charge of starting with the program on Wednesday August 15 and Friday 17 will begin simultaneously the race tribute to the insignia cartographer Juan de la Cosa and the one known as the dean for being the oldest race in Spain as regards the high-level circuit. From that day on, last for the light candle, the cruises will compete for three days; two to meet the winner of the Juan de La Cosa and until Sunday day 19 to discover the winner of the coveted gold catavino from cruise and light candle. The Cruise class will provide a number of 40 ships and 400 regatists per week.

The activity is intensified at sea and also on the ground with a concert of the group 'Gafapasta' scheduled for Friday, August 10, and three trophies ceremony; to the winners of the different classes of Light Sailing on Friday, August 17, that of the 24th Regata Juan de la Thosa on Saturday, 18, both on the terraces of the RCN of El Puerto de Santa María, and that of the winners of the 47th Nautical Week on Sunday, August 19, in the Bodega San José next to the bullring square of El Puerto de Santa María.

The appointment to start the party, on Wednesday August 15th from 13: 00, with tests for the four kinds of light candle mentioned above in an area of races that can be seen from the different points of the port coast.
