The Carmen-Elite Sails (RCR Cartagena), Tanit IV Medilevel (RCR Alicante) and Brex (RCR Cartagena) have proclaimed themselves the winner in the absolute general of the III Regata Camino de la Cruz, Trofeo Punta Este, which today closed the third edition of this test that has hit the record of participation 78 registered ships.
A second test, held at the Tomás Maestre Sports Port, has been again marked by the low wind in the Manga, which has led to a delay of almost a scheduled schedule. At 1150 hours you could take the wind of Levante (East) that has not reached the 6 knots of intensity on a triangle tour of 4.80 nautical miles.
The favorites have not failed and have been able to defend their land in a very complicated field of races, adding to that lack of wind wells and some other important wind role. In the 'big' class ORC 1-2, the podium has had color of the Region, with El Carmen-Elite Sailes de José Coello, followed by the Fandango 300 (CN Portmán) by Javier Sabiote and the Svinga 3 (CN Mazarrón) by Luciano García.
There have also been no surprises in the ORC 3, with an intractable Tanit IV Medilevel by Mª José Vila and who has again been led by Nacho Campos to the cane. After the Alicantino, and in that classification of compensated times, Manuel Gambín's card Brex has been classified, while the third place has been for another ship of the Club de Regatas: Cañas II.
Saleroso 2.0 (CN Águilas) of Carlos Martínez, Zalata (RCR Cartagena) of Esther Villalba and Albana 2 (CN Los Nietos) have occupied the three podium squares in ORC 4, while in the class ORC 4 the drawer has been composed of Bernique (CN Marina Internacional de Torrevieja) of Fernando Peña, occupying the first square, followed by Lestes dos de Antonio Martín, from the same club and Acali (Puerto Deportivo Tomás Maestre) of Victor Mateo.

The third edition of the Regata Camino de la Cruz, Trofeo Punta Este closes the first test of the two planned. A first delivery that has been marked by the low wind, both in the North Zone, Torrevieja, and in the South, Cartagena. A situation that has led to delays in both exits. Torrevieja launched the race at 12 noon with a tour of 19.6 miles, while in Cartagena the top of departure was given at 12.16 hours and 15.4 nautical miles of tour to Cabo de Palos.
Two of the fleet's' big ': Spaniard, with a Grand Soleil 50, and El Carmen-Elite Sails, a 40 Synergy, thanks to this improvement in wind conditions has allowed them to lead the group of both fleets until they arrive first in real time to Cabo de Palos. The Alicantino Spaniard (RCR Alicante) arrived at 1605 hours, investing a time of 4 hours and 5 minutes to complete those 19 miles, while the cartagJanuary El Carmen-Elite Sails (RCR Cartagena) arrived at 1546 hours, with a time of 3 hours. 30' to close those 15 miles from Cartagena.
After obtaining the compensated times, and in the joint general of all classes, the winner in the North Version has been the Tanit IV-Medilevel (RCR Alicante) while in the South Version the triumph has been for El Carmen-Elite Sails (RCR Cartagena).
As for the classes, Spaniard has been made with the victory in ORC 1-2, Tanit IV Medilevel in ORC 3 and Otto (CN Dos Mares) in ORC 4 from Torrevieja, while El Carmen-Elite Sails does in ORC 1-2, Cañas II (RCR Cartagena) in ORC 3 and Saleroso 2.0 (CN Mazarro) in ORC 4 from Cartagena. These are provisional results.

The third edition of the Regata Camino de la Cruz, Trofeo Punta Este 2018 is going on and on with 78 registered ships. On Sunday 23 the Sports Port Tomás Maestre will take the witness, celebrating a race for the Manga del Mar Minor and already with a joint classification of the entire fleet in that test.
The 'Punta Este' is home to a very high level of the ORC fleet, both from the Valencia Community and the Murcia Region. From the area it raises important names, case of the Maverta, Tanit IV-Medilevel, Ozu Dos, Trabuco, Tucana, Greek or Spaniard to quote one of them. As for the representatives of the Region also level and quality: El Carmen-Elite Sails, Zalata 2, HMS Surprise, Pinto Tercera, Trebo Queen II, Sirius V, Hakuna S, Olimpia, Brex, Cañas II, Enewtec or Fandango 300, among others.

The third edition of the Regata Camino de la Cruz, Trofeo Punta Este 2018 has been launched today with its official presentation in Cabo de Palos. It has done so with the brilliant news of the closing of the registration deadline with record numbers of 80 ships and about 600 regatists. The good acceptance of the race by shipowners and regatists has led to the organization committee's forecasts being overtaken, reaching the limit of the intended mooring capacity.
As for today's presentation, the event has had the presence of different personalities, including Noelia María Arroyo. Counsellor of Transparency and Participation of the Region of Murcia, accompanied by Manuel Fernández, Director General of Tourism and Alonso Gómez, Director General of Sports, as well as the presence of Arturo García, President of the Federation of Sailing of the Region of Murcia; Pedro Reyes, Director of the Regata; Pedro Marín, Director General of Estrella de Levante, accompanied by his Director of Communication, Yayo Delgado and a wide representation of club presidents of the Region among others.
There will be one North version exit from Torrevieja, and another from Cartagena, called the South version and whose arrival will be located in the Cape de Palos Lighthouse. In addition to that second day the entire fleet joined, and after the marine breakfast in the port of sports Tomás Maestre, a tour will take place in La Manga and Cabo Palos. He concluded his speech by outlining the highlights in the social section, with the party at the Trips discotheque.

The registration period for the third edition of the Regata Camino de la Cruz Cruciero ORC, Trofeo Punta Este is open. An edition that will again have the simultaneous departure in the clubs of Cartagena and Torrevieja, Saturday 22, and will have with colofon and end of party in the Port Tomás Maestre on Sunday, September 23.
The race has already opened the registration deadline and more than 20 ships have already been pre-registered, when there is just over a month left for the test. In the first of them we have the Trebol Queen II, Pinto Tercera, Olimpia or Enewtec, both winners of the Circuit Sea Minor Star of Levante.
