The famous Salinas Longboard Festival first integrates the Spanish championship of this modality

The Spanish championship is the most important official title in the national territory and this year for the first time will have its own 100% Longboard competition. From July 26 to 29, the city hall of Castillón will host the international Salinas festival in which the competition that will crown the new Spanish champions in the different categories that are disputed will be held.

The Salinas beach is one of the most constant waves throughout the year and in summer it is one of the few that almost always guarantees surfing. A left and a right are the waves that surfers will find. A long left and a shorter but very maneuverable right, as Pepe Hevia explains.

With this edition, number 17, the Salinas festival is consecrated as one of the points of reference for the board lovers. Edition after edition break the number of visitors, with a record figure of over 150 thousand people last edition was the most successful so far: "I wish we could get close to last year's figures. That number of people for a surf event in a village in Asturias is an incredible thing," Pepe points out.
