Delivery of the School and Fisheries Cooperation Ship "Intermares" to the Navy
It took place in Ferrol, the act of handing over to the Navy the school ship and of fishing cooperation "Intermares." The ceremony was co-chaired by the Admiral Chief of Staff of the Navy, Teodoro López Calderón and the Secretary General of Fisheries, Alicia Villauriz Iglesias. In addition, other civilian and military authorities were present.
After the arrival of the guests and the military authorities, Admiral López Calderón went to the podium where he was given the honors of ordinance. He then reviewed the force present at the ceremony. The Admiral of Staff then received the Secretary-General for Fisheries and other civil authorities in attendance, beginning the act of ship delivery to the Navy.
The ceremony began with an inspection of the ship by a Navy commission, which gave the news to the Chief of Staff, then the signing of the agreement on the operation and maintenance of the ship. The Secretary-General for Fisheries then addressed the attendees, followed by a statement by the Chief of Staff of the Navy. After the inauguration of his position by the Commander of the Ship, captain of the corbeta Juan Carlos Muñoz-Delgado Pérez, the flag was blessed and handed over to the ship.
The act was completed with the shipment of the new endowment on the ship, the lifting of the flag and the Force parade present to the authorities. After the event, the authorities embarked on the "Intermares" for a tour of the ship and for signature in its honor book.
