The GC32 Lagos Cup was fired with an intense final day in which six rounds were held that completed the planned 20-sleeves programme. The Norauto powered by Team France of Franck Cammas was left over the last two to proclaim the leading champion of the second event of the GC32 Racing Tour 2018, first of the history that is held in Atlantic waters.

During the four days of competition, Cammas showed a similar state to the one that he was able to win the GC32 Racing Tour in 2016. The French master, whose impressive curriculum includes titles by Volvo Ocean Race, Solitaire du Figaro, Route du Rhum, ORMA 60 Championship and C-Class, deployed all his talent in Portuguese waters to take the second event of the GC32 season.

In a fleet of eight flying catamarans, Cammas never ended below the fifth position, scoring no less than seven partial wins of 20 possible. Norauto fired the GC32 Lagos Cup with 17 points of advantage over its immediate persecutor, also French Zoulou.

The GC32 Lagos Cup has been the first event of the GC32 Racing Tour in Atlantic waters and on the coast of Portugal, and has been possible thanks to the support of the city of Lagos, Sopromar, Marina de Lago and Tourism do Algarve... the class returns to the Mediterranean for the third event of the 2018 season, the King's Cup, to be held from July 31 to August 4 in Palma de Mallorca.
