300 participants from 15 schools in Galicia and Madrid were part of the 40 projects presented

The third call of the Solar Regata organized by Marine Instruments, in collaboration with the Concello de Baiona, has brought together in the Playa de la Ribeira some 300 schoolchildren from 15 Galician and Madrid educational centres, who have presented 40 projects in the form of motor-powered solar vessels and under control of the radio-controlled rucos, who have made the delights of the itinerants for the main walk of the Villa Real.

Coinciding with the arrival of the Nao Victoria, and the permanent presence of the Pinta carabela, history and technology have coincided in the same geographical space, under very different developments of navigation separated for more than 500 years.

Marine Istruments awarded in this third quote Efficience and Design, after the participants carried out a series of tests of skill and management of the ships of reduced scale, consisting of a first speed sleeve and a second resistance, in which the Apostle school Santiagos- Jesuítas de Vigo won with his two projects in Efficience in the category of ESO-BAC, coordinated by his professor Julio Freijido.

Also distinguished in the Efficience in Vocational Training Cycle have been the schools Ricardo Mella y Hogar, first and second, respectively. And in the Open section the podium was occupied by the project US613809 in the golden post, being second the Amigus Labs, and third the OP Robots.

In the design side, the Barreiro school was awarded in the ESO-BAC category, and the Makynote I project, from the Home School, in the Professional Training Cycle.
