Tomorrow the opening party of the I Marina Sotogrande Classic Week in the Port Sotogrande

Everything is ready for the opening party of the I Marina Sotogrande Classic Week this Wednesday, at 8: 00 p.m., in the Port Sotogrande. In the village area located in the Ribera del Marlin the opening event will take place with the presence of authorities, the shipowners of the four ships participating and invited. This is the first time you can admire in the waters of Sotogrande the only four ships of the 15MClass that exist in the world. The organization corresponds to the Puerto Marina Sotogrande, becoming the great summer race in this area of the Campo de Gibraltar.

The four ships have already arrived ( the "Hispania" of Spain, "Mariska" of Switzerland, "Tuiga" of Monaco and "Lady Anne" of England). The official training will take place on Thursday morning with the 20 long crew of each vessel. This I Marina Sotogrande Classic Week will open the official 2018 calendar of the International Circuit, which will be followed by Palma, San Remo and Saint Tropez until October.

On Tuesday day, the official measurements of the ships were carried out... after the meetings of the technical committee the forecast of the time and the number of races per day have been known... Thursday and Friday will be two each day... on Saturday only one will take place.

More and more it smells like a historic candle in the Sotogrande Port on the occasion of the I Marina Sotogrande Classic Week (4-7 July). On Friday morning the "Lady Anne," with a UK flag, arrived in Sotogrande and became the first of the three foreign ships to arrive. The "Tuiga" (Monaco) is scheduled to arrive on the morning of Sunday to Monday and the "Mariska" (Switzerland) will arrive on the morning of Monday.

Meanwhile, the final details of the arrangement of the "Hispania 1909," a ship of the Ebusitana Island Foundation, which will represent Spain at this great event, are being finalized. The tasks are permanently monitored in the area near the Control Tower by the ship's master, Arnaldo Brito, and the tactical Dani Revilla.

The Regata will be a visual show, as it is the only four ships of the 15M Class that exist in the world. Boats with more than a hundred years of history, all of wood, without engine and sailing base and the effort of the crew twenty in each. With the Sotogrande test begins the International Class Circuit, which will then be moved to Palma for the King's Cup.

The Spanish ship, which will represent Spain in the I Marina Sotogrande Classic Week, has been launched and the first exercises are carried out with the crew that will lead Arnaldo Brito (captain) and Dani Revilla (tactical). The repair work in the port of Sotogrande has been completed and will be in full condition to compete with the Mariska (Switzerland), Tuiga (Monaco) and Lady Anne (UK) from 4 to 7 July in Sotogrande waters.

The repair and testing work has been thorough. After polishing the death work stop, the height work was prepared with the entire tree.
In this next weekend, Tuida and Mariska are expected, which have been competing at a high level on different tests on the Blue Coast and which come plethoric to fight for victory in the first race of the year in the International Circuit of the 15M Class.
