Today it has finished in the waters of Kiel (Germany) the Kieler Woche of 49er, where the Quironsalud Team of Diego Botín and Iago López Marra, has finished sixth after signing a tenth place on the Medal Race, the only proof of the day that had double value.

The Medal Race began with a wind of ten knots of 10 knots of instability, in which we had to be very attentive to the roles of wind. The evidence started late due to the lightning alert in the race field, so Iago and Diego had to wait until in the afternoon the jury sent all the boats into the water. With all this, it gave time to celebrate two sleeves in which Botín and López Mara achieved two third parties, who after the discarding of one of them went on to lead the general classification.

Following Botín and López Marra are the French Frei - Delpech and the New Zealanders Dunning - Gunn. In the face of tomorrow, three tests are scheduled to give practically defined front posts, in the absence of the Saturday day that will define the top ten that will have access to the Medal Race.

The regatists of the Quironsalud Team, Diego Botín and Iago López Marra, are already ready for the dispute of one of the most emblematic races of the European panorama in the 49er class, the Kieler Woche in Kiel Germany.

In the German meeting, the cantabro-Galician couple arrived in full form after entering the medal race of the Hyeres World Cup and the Medemblik race, in which they have managed to tune both their shape and the boat... Diego Botín and Iago López Marra began the season in Miami where they achieved silver in the World Cup and gold in the Winter Series in those same waters and gold in the Spanish Championship in Cadiz.

The competition will begin tomorrow at the edge of 1: 00 noon, with three sleeves scheduled. Also, until Saturday each day will be three tests, with the final medal race that will have double value reserved for Sunday and in which will sail the 10 best equipment.
