The Canary Yael Peña was imposed in the male category and approaches the first positions of the general ranking... in the female category, the young Sara Urresti gets the second consecutive victory and takes the lead

The "II Open of Surf Esteiro," held in the town of Xove, crowned the winners of the third trial of LaLigaFESURFING on a day where competitiveness and good surfing were the protagonists.

After an early start, where the good weather and waves were up, the high level of competitors soon appeared. The Canary Yael Peña, which was very solid throughout the day, achieved the highest scores of the event in both the best wave (9 points) and the best combination of them (17.23 points).

In the Open Yael Peña final, with two good waves, one of them an "air reverse" valued at 7.00 points, got the first place in a hard sleeve and fought by all the competitors. A very tight ending in which the second place was for Bitor Garitaonandia, who held a great competition, ahead of the current leader of the Juanjo Fernández and Eric Rebiere classification.

In the female final, the Basque Sara Urresti was imposed on its rivals with a total score of 12.84 points. They completed the podium, the canary Melania Suarez, the Galician Isabel Gundín and the asturian Nerea Donaire. With this victory Urresti is consolidated at the head of the general classification of LaLigaFESURFING in the female category.

This test, third from LaLigaFESURFING, will also be valid for the "Galego Circuit" and the "FESURFING Junior Series" in category Sub-18... the categories that score will be Open (Male and Female)...
There will also be competition in the modes of bodyboard and paddleborad

The second weekend of June will be the date chosen to contest the third test of the "LaLigaFESURFING" circuit. The town of Xove will receive some of the best national surfers on the beach of Esteiro. Finally, after having set aside several alternatives, the organization of the event is scheduled for the 9 and 10 days to celebrate the championship. The entries will remain open until Thursday at noon on the website of the Galega Federation of Surf.

Located north of the Galician community, the town of Xove celebrates this year the second edition of the "Open of Surf Esteiro." The small town is located with just 3000 inhabitants, bringing for the second year in a row a surf championship in which celebrities like Eric Rebiere or Dani García have spent a year promising a show in Galician waters. With a wave formed on the bottom of sand, Esteiro's is a beach where we can find multiple peaks but the right-wing waves prevail. A spot where the right conditions are north or north-west and to which they have just granted the blue flag.
