In the sport, it is worth highlighting the hand-to-hand between the Madrid pattern, the Spanish champion of the MM class, Feliciano Ballestin and the RCAR pattern Jorge Fernández, who also defended his title as the champion of Asturias (Photo Felix G.Muñiz).
Organized by the Real Club Astur de Regatas, the seventh edition of the RCAR Sailing Trophy Radio Control was held. This year for the first time in addition to the MM class, with the previous six editions, the IOM class would also participate.
On Saturday he started the trophy with the MM class, also being Cpto. of Asturias for the patterns of the Asturian fleet of this class. The weather was right and the rain gave the participants a break. The ESP 272 of Zano Ballestin had more triumphs and was proclaimed champion of the RCAR Sailing Trophy RC, with a difference of 6 points from the ESP 334 of Jorge Fernández. The third position was obtained by a marcelino González combative, also from the RCAR, who held a good championship.
In what to the Capto of Asturias class MM, Jorge Fernández revalidated the title by proclaiming himself as a new champion. Second, the RCAR's Marcelino González pattern and in third position Juan Cifuentes.
Sunday was the day reserved for the IOM class. The weather conditions totally opposite the previous day. N - NO component wind, with continuous blanks with roles more than 90 °, which made it impossible to hold any tests.
