It will be the second ship Gondán builds for Prestfjord AS, a very important shipowner in the world of fish farms and the second fish producer in Norway

This week the last project in charge of Gondan came into force. This is an advanced factory freezer trawler for Prestfjord AS, one of Norway's most important fishing and fishing vessels, for which the Sunderøy, a technologically advanced freezer fishing vessel, had previously been delivered.

This new ship, designed by Rolls Royce Marine - in charge of providing the main equipment - will have a length of 77.3 m and a sleeve of 17 m. Built in steel with aluminium superstructure, the fishing vessel will operate in Arctic areas, in the waters of the Barents Sea and the archipelago of the Svalbard Islands. With an accommodation for 29 people, the factory freezer trawler will be dedicated to the fishing of cod and shrimp, as well as to its processing... to this end it will have the most modern and automated fish processing equipment, including a fish meal production plant, and a total capacity of fish and meal wineries of 2250 m3... the ship will be classified by the DNV and will be certified for sailing in ice.
