Anna Boada and Aina Cid Silver Medal at the Remo World Cup in Belgrade
Anna Boada Peiró and Aina Cid i Centelles today won the silver medal in two untimonel at the I World Cup, which was held this weekend in Belgrade (Serbia). After a bad departure, our athletes were forced to remount positions, but they did so in a great way, coming from less to more and in an apotheosic ending they managed to overcome the rivals with which this metal was fought. For the second time in a row, they have defeated in face to face medalist crews at the last Olympic Games in Rio 2016. Promising start of the international season for our final partner in the past Olympics.
The next ship, both in competition and as a result, was the two untimonel of Jaima Canalejo Pazos and Javier García Ordoñez, who planted battle during the final, and who went to much of the race in medal positions, but who finally occupied a meritorious fifth place in their first international participation in this modality. Given the high participation in this World Cup, this result is even more meritorious.
The last of our teams to participate was the double male light weight of Patricio Rojas Aznar and Rodrigo Conde Romero, who, having left yesterday at the door of the classification for the Final A, today, in another tight race, ended in sixth position and a little more than three seconds from the victory in the Final B. It was not the best possible end, but this team left very good sensations yesterday in the semifinals dispute, this being their first international partition together.
03 / 06 / 2018: The female and male 2- classified for the end of the World Cup

The female and male 2- have obtained the classification for the Final A of the First World Cup that is being held this weekend in Belgrade... the 2x male light weight will redo the Final B, when the fifth position is finished its semi-final
It was the female 2- of Anna Boada and Aina Cid the first team to get the ranking for the Final A, and it did so in a clear way, winning its semi-final ahead of the Danish team that was bronze medal in the past World Championship. I'm sure our girls are still taking steps tomorrow to get to the top.
The male 2- of Jaime Canalejo and Javi García also obtained the classification for the Final A in a semi-final that began and ended in third position, without being in danger at any time. Tomorrow they will also compete to be as close as possible to the headposts.
The other team that competed in the semi-finals A / B today was the 2x light weight of Patricio Rojas and Rodrigo Conde, who by demonstrating their potential led their semi-final until just 300 meters left for the goal, where they were overcome just in the final sprint by several adversaries and ending in 5th place and thus relegated to the final B that will be delivered tomorrow.
Virginia Díaz Rivas ended up in 2nd position in the Final C, behind Sweden, in a race that was held from beginning to end in that position. The 4th of Jon Carazo, Alexander Sigurbjörnsson, Ismael Montes and Pau Vela finished in 5th position of the Final C.
David Prada finished his participation in this competition today by paving the Final D and ending in 3rd position of this race.
Ruben Padilla was able to finish his return to the international competition with a good taste of mouth by winning his race, the Final F, in which he demonstrated his ambition by coming from less to more to win in the last meters.
02 / 06 / 2018: Spain puts three boats in the semifinals of the Remo World Cup in Belgrade
After the first day of the I World Cup three of our teams, the 2- female and male, and 2x male light weight, have been classified to row the semi-finals A / B, which will be held tomorrow Saturday. The rest of the team have had a lot of fun, and the female 1x and the male 4- will be the final C, and the male 1x are the final D and F.
If we analyze team by team, the female 2- participation of Anna Boada and Aina Cid began, who achieved direct classification for the semifinals after finishing second in a elimination in which the first three were classified. They ended up behind Canada, in the fastest phase-out of the three that formed its modality.
The next team to compete was the 2- of Jaime Canalejo and Javier García, who in a hard elimination they came to fight for victory, and thus for the direct classification to semi-finals, with the Czech Republic until the last 250 meters, but could not be. In their afternoon refishing they won the race ahead of Germany, finally achieving the classification for the semifinals.
Then it was the turn of the 4th of Jon Carazo, Alexander Sigurjörnsson, Ismael Montes and Pau Vela, who did not make his best race in the elimination, ending in sixth place, and which in turn complicated his progression for the fish. In this afternoon race, and after a better and fought race, they finished in 4th position the refishing, thus achieving the classification for the Final C that will be held tomorrow Saturday.
The next to participate was the 1x of Virginia Diaz, which both in its elimination and in its refishing remained at the gates of the semi-final classification posts, having to row also the Final C tomorrow Saturday.
The next to participate were the male 1x, with different results from the beginning since David Prada did manage to finish among the first four of his elimination and access to quarter finals, but Ruben Padilla was not able to do the same and will have to row the final tomorrow. Already in the final quarters, David Prada got the fifth place and taking into account the times of the rest of the races will finally round the final D tomorrow Saturday.
Our last team to compete was the 2x light weight of Patricio Rojas and Rodrigo Conde, who achieved direct classification for the semifinals by finishing in second position their elimination behind the Polish team, fourth ranked in the previous World Championship.
