The couple formed by the great Javier de la Gandara and Diego Fernández with the J80 "Okofen," proclaimed himself the winner of the Insermos Trophy of Solitaires and A2 that organized the Monte Real Club of Yates with the support of the Galician Federation of Vela, which also had the Rafael Olmedo Trophy in play and the Galician championship of the specialty. The test was at the end 35 miles long, a round-trip route between Baiona and the Beacon of the Comouco de Ons.
"Gaias Clinics" with the couple José María Peinó-Ramón Quiroga of the Royal Nautical Club of Portosín, was the winner in real time with a six-hour chrono... the second to cross the line of arrival was the "Atlantic MBA" of Rui Ramada- Afonso Leite... the bronze of this class of great length for the "SND Cormorán" of Pablo Cabello- Francisco Javier Martínez.
In class A Two 2, the Ay Carmela of Juan Martínez Pazó and Rafael Martínez of the Bouzas Maritime Liceo were added to the podium; the Juliana by Deep Blue of Vicente Cid and Javier Miguez of the Real Nautical Club of Vigo; and the Q Talento of Javier Rey and Jorge Justo of the Monte Real Club of Yates were left first, second and third respectively.
In the real-time competition of the J80 monotypes, the fastest was the Okofen of Javier de la Gandara and Diego Fernández; and the second and third position were distributed between the Marías of Manuel María Cunha and Diogo Pontes of Monte Real Club de Yates; and La Galera of the Real Nautical Club of A Coruña, tripulated by Jaime García and José María Calviño.

29 / 05 / 2018: With "Gaias Clinics" of favorite is celebrated the Galician of Solitaries and A2 in Baiona
For this Saturday in Baiona, a new edition of the Galician Championship of Solitaries and A2, from 11: 00 in the morning, will have at stake the Insermos Energy Trophy, which will have a special memory for Rafael Olmedo Limeses, the great president of the Mount Real Club of Yates for 40 years, and which took possession in late 1972, following the legendary Bermudas- Baiona Regata, which had placed the Club of the Pinta in the international circular of ocean sailing.
The route will have a length of 25 to 35 miles to be decided before the exit procedure, based on the conditions of sea and wind... between Baiona Bay, the Camouco lighthouse in the Ons archipelago, the floating beacons of Carallones and La Negra, and the islet two Viños in Cíes...
The participants already confirmed will include the current champions, Jean Claude Sarrade and André Amorín, who will try to revalidate the title on board the veteran ILC30 "Fend la Bise" race ship based in Baiona. By the organizing club they will also regateFernando Yáñez and Ignacio Sánchez Otaegui on board the "Cansino," Willy Caamaño and Juan José Lago in the "Virazto," Juan Luis Tuero and Rogelio Torres in the "New Moon," and Luis de Mira and Javier Torrojo in the "Namasté," among others.
The Real Club Náutico de Portosín will be represented by the "Clínicas Gaias" by José María Peinó, the Club Náutico Castrelo de Miño by "La Burea Negra" by Juan José Martínez, and the Liceo Marítimo de Bouzas by the "Smaku" by Alfonso Rodríguez. The Royal Nautical Club of Vigo has already registered to participate in the "Salaño dos" of Jacobo Vecino and Brenda Maure, and "El Juliana by Deep Blue" of Vicente Cid and Javier Migez.
