The 30th Ifach Peñón Trophy already has its champions. After 2 p.m. Sunday, the last boat arrived at the Royal Calpe Nautical Club. Malta Blue made its entry at 02: 10: 13. The local Tagomago 3 (Dehler 42), by Juan Carlos Albelda, was just one point from the winner. The podium is completed with Kim from the London SW5 0AZ with a First 40.7 from Yann Lythgoe.

As for the ORC B class, the winner in this second trial was Aurora de Javier Lledó de Calpe, investing a total of 10h.32 '11 "in completing the tour. The first test of the 30 Ifach Peñón Trophy between Calpe and Formentera is closed, with a total of 64 nautical miles. A first test that has been marked by the low wind at the exit.

In that line was the Plis Play de Vicente García (RCR Alicante-RCN Calpe), a Swan 80 who arrived at the Navy of Formentera at 20.06, investing a total time of 8h.01 '27. "Alzira Moraria, of Agustí Gregori (CN Moraira), with a Swan 75 took the arrival line almost 1 hour later: 21.09 hours, while the Grand Soleil 50 Spaniard (RCR Alicante), of Miguel López, took the arrival at 21.17 hours.

At 10 a.m. today the most emblematic race of the Royal Nautical Club of Calpe began: the Trophy Peñón of Ifach, in line of departure 53 ships with direction to Formentera, the end of the first stage of this series with a total of about 63 miles in length... the second round on June 2, with the reverse route... that is to the exit of Formentera and final in Calpe, also with beginning at 10: 00.

Among the major competitors in ORC A, the great favorite at least in real-time victory, is the spectacular Swan 75 "Alzira-Moraira" who competes for the Moraira Nautical Club. Other important among the largest: Spaniard (RCR Alicante) by Miguel López with a Grand Soleil 50, Brujo by Alberto de Castro and its Swan 45 and Cafés Granell by Agustín Granell with a First 40.7, both from the nautical of Valencia, or the local Jeffertje II by Carl Bal with a Grand Soleil 46 or the new Itaca by Manuel Gallego and its First 50 are imprinted in one of the three podium squares.

As far as ORC B is concerned, the range is wide. There are those units that have experience in this type of race, and in this particular case, Kalamandurrio (CN Altea), armed by Pablo Nogueroles, Dufour 40; Tanit IV Medilevel (RCR Alicante) of Mª José Vila with a Grand Soleil 37 or Aleph III CN La Vila) of Francisco Muñoz with a First 36.7 are profiled to take the first place.

The 3th edition of the Ifach Peñón Trophy is now ready for its big annual appointment... the sign race of the Royal Nautical Club of Calpe, was officially presented at the headquarters of the Regulatory Council D.O. Wines of Valencia, with the presence of various authorities, including the Council, the City Council and the Nautico itself.

52 ships already confirmed, among which the best of the Valencian Community are again, and any of them can be on the podium. In this line, and with the official closure of inscriptions, we find ships that will surely be 'fighting' for the prestigious Trophy Peñón de Ifach and the Autonomical, case of the Valencians Brujo Cafés Granell, Alzira -Moraira, Spaniard, Guaguanco or the new Itaca (First 50) all in ORC 1. As for ORC 2 and ORC 3, the range is also wide. Tanit IV-Medilevel, Kalamandurrio or Aleph III are imprinted on the ground of the ORC 2, while Calama, Etreus, Jumbuck or Formal have options on the ORC 3.

On Saturday, June 2, the second test is scheduled to be released at 10 a.m.: Formentera-Calpe. The previous day, 1 June, the organizing committee is planning to deliver first-stage trophies at a party in Formentera that will start around 21.30 hours, the same one that will begin at the closing and delivery of trophies at the Nautico de Calpe on Saturday, 9 June.
