The victory of the Galician-Canary couple totally deserved and just

The Spanish team of Nacra 17 formed by Fernando Echávarri and Tara Pacheco has proclaimed itself the champion of the Medemblik Regata in the Netherlands. The Galician-canary duo has led the test from the first manga and today has certified its victory with the fourth position in the medal race of its class.

Echávarri and Pacheco have shown a high level by achieving four first and five seconds in a total of 13 tests. In today's medal race the Spaniards have been fourth, a position that has allowed them to maintain the first position of the Nacra 17. The second square has been for New Zealanders Gemma Jones and Jason Saunders while in the third podium the English John Gimson and Anna Brunet have been located.

The canarian crew Tara Pacheco has explained that the race medal of the Nacra 17 has been carried out in the "Theater Style mode, with limits in the field and three laps." The regatist has assured that "the experience has been fun and quite interesting." Pacheco said to draw important conclusions from this championship: "We have learned very good things with little wind and now we have to put them into practice for the European Championship."

In the race that has been held in the Dutch town of Medemblik, the two Spanish pre-Olympic crews of 49er have also participated: the brothers Federico and Arturo Alonso have finished the race in sixth position, followed by Diego Botín and Iago L.Marra, sepmos.

25 / 05 / 2018: Button and López Marra to the medal Race de la Medemblik Regatta

Mañana la Medal Race será a las 10:50 y contará con “boundaries" que delimitarán el campo de regatas, aportando mayor dificultad táctica a la prueba

Tomorrow the Medal Race will be at 10: 50 and will have "bounds" that will delimit the field of races, contributing greater tactical difficulty to the test

After a complicated day, the Quironsalud Team of Diego Botín and Iago López Marra will be tomorrow at the Medal Race of the Medemblik Regatta of 49er, at the end of the eighth position, after 12 sleeves distributed in four days. With this classification, Diego and Iago practically make full of races in which they have participated and races in which they have been classified for the Medal Race since they are a sports couple.

The day began with the loose wind that has reigned throughout the week, despite this the Quironsalud Team made an excellent exit that placed them at the positions of head, following a bad tactical decision in the stern, they were relegated to position 11 in the test. The second sleeve was an off-line for the Cantabro-Galician couple, who this time cannot rule out and who added 24 points to their locker. Finally, he also had a good way out, this time Diego and Iago managed to keep signing a seventh post that gave them the passport for the big end of tomorrow.

Tomorrow that will be a day also with little wind, will be held the Medal Race in which will sail the 10 best 49ers, which will have double value and in which Diego Botín and Iago López will choose at most the fifth place of the general. The classification is led by the French couple Rual- Amorós followed by the Australians Gilmour- Turner and the Lange brothers of Argentina.

24 / 05 / 2018: Botín-Marra are kept in the Medemblik Regatta of 49er in the Netherlands

Tomorrow it will be a day also with little wind, will be held at 14: 00 h the last three sleeves that would define the posts in the Medal Race and in which you cannot fail not to stay out. The classification is led by the French couple Rual-Amorós followed by the Lange brothers of Argentina and the Danes Warre-Precht who have been in these positions since the first day. Botín and López Marra are just 16 points from the podium

A complicated day at the 49th Regatta Medemblik in the Netherlands, where the Diego Botín and Iago López Marra's health team remains in the sixth position of the general classification, after three new sleeves with disparate results like 2-14-12, which leave everything to decide tomorrow for Saturday's Medal Race.

The day began well for the couple Cantabro-Galician, who made a great exit sailing on the right side, which meant competing on the good side of the race field signing a second place. The second manga was quite different, as the exit was not as good as the first one forcing Botín and López Marra to sail the bad side of the race field, resulting in a fourteenth position. The third manga was a broth of the second, complicated exit which meant to avoid the "traffic" during the first girdle, which relegated them to the nineteenth final square. Despite the irregular results they maintain sixth place.
