Ayuntamiento de Chiclana, Fundación La Caixa y el Club Deportivo Water Sport vuelven a trabajar de la mano para que niños y adolescentes con problemas sociales puedan interactuar y relacionarse a través de este deporte

Chiclana City Council, La Caixa Foundation and the Water Sport Sports Club are working together again so that children and adolescents with social problems can interact and relate through this sport

The agreement to continue the project was renewed in the municipality of Chiclana de la Frontera 'No child without surfing '. This is a joint initiative between the City of Chiclana, La Caixa and Club Deportivo Water School so that 30 young people at risk of social exclusion can learn values through this sport.

This project, an example of the integration of young people suffering from school harassment, physical, economic or juvenile delinquency, works with surfing as a therapeutic and inclusive tool. In addition, this programme helps to promote healthy living habits and is able to break social barriers.

In this regard, the minor beneficiaries of the project will be derived from the Social Services Delegation and are at risk of social exclusion. This includes adolescents with behavioural problems in schools; young people with problems associated with bullying; as well as physical, psychological or psychological-social limitations, minors with lack of financial resources or problems with crime and tax offences, etc.

At the event, which was attended by many personalities and institutions, was also the president of the Spanish surf federation who thanked the support of the City Council and the work of the school "for putting into practice what many we have long defended, which is the goodness of sport linked to social integration."

Thus, a project, "No Child without Surfing," which is another example of such as surfing and outdoor activities, on the beach and the sea, is a therapeutic factor in many difficult social situations.
