The bergantin goleta continues to sail in the South Atlantic, in which it is its XC instruction cruise, which began on February 11 in the city of Cadiz, to which it plans to return on August 11... six months of journey in which it will surround South America in the year that also celebrates the 90 anniversary of its surrender to the Spanish Navy

On board the school ship "Juan Sebastián Elcano", sailing in the sea of Plata in demand of Ushuaia, a solemn act of tribute to the deceased in the act of service was held on deck. The ceremony had a close, sense and emotional memory of the frigate captain Francisco Javier Montojo Salazar and the strength of the Argentine Navy submarine "San Juan."

At the same latitude and at about 100 nautical miles from the search area of the ARA "San Juan," the endowment, commissioned personnel and wardens of the bergantin goleta formed on the tolilla deck to celebrate this castrense and emotional act.

In the Guardia de Honor, an officer of the Argentine frigate "Libertad" was integrated, embarking on the "Elcano" during the transit between Buenos Aires and Ushuaia, participating in the Velas Latinoamerica 2018 race.
