The International Federation of Piragüismo (ICF) has informed the Spanish Federation of this sport that the Catalan palist Albert Martí and the Asturian Pelayo Roza, members of the K2 500 bronze medal winner last year at the 1st World Cup 2017 in Esprint, will soon receive the accredited presences as subchampions of this test following the disqualification of the Ukrainian Igor Trunov, winner of the race with his partner Ivan Semykin.

The coordinator of Antidoping and Special Projects of the ICF, Michel Alarcon, has transferred him to the Spanish Federation of Piragüismo, to which he reports that the kayakista of the Banyoles Swimming Club, Alberti Martín, and the palist of the Ribadesella Cultural and Sports Society, Pelayo Roza, take up the second place behind the Hungarians Zoltan Kammerer and Mark Berdfalvi, who were seconds and now replace the classification of the disqualified Ukrainian K2.

Trunov-Samykin (Ukraine) won the first place in the 1st World Cup 2017 (1m.28s.059), followed by the vessel composed of Kammerer and Berdfalvi (Hungary), which was second (1m.29s.014), while the Spaniards Martí and Roza occupied the third square (1m.29s.664). The 1st World Cup 2017 of sprint was held on May 20 last year in the race field of Montemo in Portugal, whose stage will host the 2018 World Championship next August.
