The Astur de Regatas hosts a sectoral meeting of the Association of Clubs

Nautical clubs of the Cantabria cornice, belonging to the Spanish Association of Nautical Clubs (AECN), will have a meeting this Saturday at the inbstalations of the Real Club Astur in Gijón. With the presidency of the Nautico de La Coruña, in principle, in addition to the host club, the Nautico de Santander and that of San Sebastián will attend.

From now on, according to the agreement adopted at the last national assembly, held in Gran Canaria, a number of sectoral meetings will be held on the various issues affecting the ECN member clubs, which bring together more than 65,000 partners and of which the most inimportants of the national territory are part.

The AECN was created in 1998 to bring together and develop joint projects, as well as to develop plans to promote sailing, taking into account that in their respective schools it is where the best Spanish athletes have been formed. In this sense, since 2001, the championship organized by this Association has been held annually, and this year's edition will take place in Melilla, and as always for the classes "Snipe," "Optimist," "420" and "Laser" in its radial and 4.7 variants.

This first sectoral meeting in Gijón will be chaired by Antonio Nores, Vice President of the Nautico of A Coruña, to bring together positions on issues as crucial to the development of the nautical in Spain, such as port concessions, data protection and criminal responsibilities.

In the field of the promotion of water sports, the AECN will also promote the practice of the sea, a specialty widely used in other countries and in which the Spanish Federation of Remo is also very involved.
