The Nautical Club El Balís has given this weekend the gunshot to the 45th Cornudella Trophy, where Eduard Ferrer and Nil López of the host club are the provisional leaders in 420, class that disputes in this competition the Championship of Catalonia. The couple of regatists of the CN El Balís head the general of the modality, ahead of Nacho Dávila and Havier Mestre (CN El Balís) and the brothers Pol Marsans and Álex Marsans (CN El Masnou).

The multiclase race, which has convened in the first two days the fleets of 420, Techno 293, Techno Plus and RS: X in waters of Sant Andreu de Llavaneres, lived yesterday Saturday a couple of tests in 420, with variable wind tips of up to 17 knots. In turn, the tables made a total of three sleeves, which have been the final results for the winners on Sunday, when the boats have not been able to leave because of the unfavourable weather conditions.

In Techno 293 sub 17, Javier Simó (CN El Balís) has taken the title of the Cornudella Trophy, while Natàlia De Francisco (CN El Balís) has risen to collect recognition as the first in Techno 293 female. In parallel, Álex Martí (CM Altafulla) has obtained gold in Techno 293 sub 15.

For their part, two representatives of the CM Torredembarra have achieved the medals in Techno Plus, with Mauro Gascón first, followed on the podium by Júlia Alòs. In Techno 293 initiation, full podium for the fleet of the CN El Balís, with Didac Garcia in head, followed by Clara Baulies and closing the trio Max David Saban.

The victory in RS: X has been for Toni Bonet (CM Altafulla), which has raised the award ahead of Ferran Cornudella (CN El Balís) and Ferran Garcia (CM Torredembarra).

The 420 Catalan Championship will continue next weekend, when the title of champion will be decided and the rest of the Cornudella Trophy classes will also take place. Thus, the event will host on May 11, 12 and 13 the Championships of Catalonia of Finn and Laser standard, in addition to the competition for the N2 of Euromes, the N3 of Optimist, the Laser 4.7 and the Radial Laser, in a new days of adrenaline and excitement in the water of El Balís.

The Nàutic Club El Balís will celebrate on the weekends of 5 and 6 May and 11, 12 and 13 May the 45th Cornudella Trophy, a new edition of the multiclase race that will bring together a lot of participants and fans. The competition, organized by the club with the collaboration of the Catalan Vela Federation, will have proof of up to ten sailing classes and will bring together in the waters of Sant Andreu de Llavaneres both Spanish and other countries.

Three Championships of Catalonia

The event will serve to host, over the two weekends, the 420 Catalan Championship, while the second will also take place the Catalan Championships of Finn and Laser standard. In turn, the competition will be completed on 5 and 6 May by the T293, Raceboard and RS: X, and on 11, 12 and 13 the attention signal will sound for the Class Europe N2, Optimist N3, Laser 4.7 and Radial Laser.

Also, during the Cornudella Trophy dispute, another relevant event will occur, the official signing act of the Europe Class World 2019, which will host the CN El Balís, only one year after the organization of the Finn Master World, which will take place at the club's facilities between 18 and 25 May.
