The 35 Palma International Boat Show in Palma has been the stage for the presentation of two of the most important races on the island of Mallorca. On the one hand, the twenty-fourth edition of the Illes Balears Classics Regata, which will be held in the Club de Mar Mallorca from 15 to 18 August, and on the other the 'Vuelta a Mallorca' sailing, which will be held between 12 and 27 May in the waters of the island.

The presentation of the Regata Illes Balears Classics that the Club de Mar has held on the 35th anniversary stand of the Boat Show in Palma has been attended by the managing director of the IDI, Núria Hinojosa, as well as the comandoro of the entity, Manuel Nadal, who has announced the participation of the class 15 Metros Formula International. One of the novelties of this race is the invitation that has been made to the 6M Class, in which the emeritus king sails on board the Bribon, has secured the marco club.

The organization expects the inscriptions to exceed half a hundred ships, which will sail divided into groups depending on the age of the participating ships. The pre-1950 will sail in the Epoch class; the launched between 1950 and 1975 will sail in the category of Classics; and the IF15 will form their own class.

On the other hand, the Regata Vuelta a Mallorca, which will be held between 12 and 27 May in Mallorcan waters, was presented this morning by the Conseller of Territory, Energy and Mobility, Marc Pons, and the president of the Real Club Nautico de Palma, Javier Sanz. The event took place at the stand of Ports-IB, located in the fairground.

The test, composed of four races, will sail from the Real Club Náutico de Palma and will highlight in Porto Colom (Ports IB), Puerto de Pollença (Ports IB) and Puerto de Sóller (Ports IB), to return to Palma. Some 20 vessels are expected to participate. Pons has pointed out that Ports IB, the co-organizer of the test next to the RCNP, will bring moorings in the ports of Porto Colom, Puerto de Pollensa and Puerto de Sóller.
