The Atlantic MBA sponsored by the Lusian Rui Ramada has achieved absolute victory in the Community Trophy, which has organized the Mount Real Club of Yates of Baiona, with the support of the nautical of Sanxenxo and Vigo. In the competition that had the peculiarity of having two exits and one arrival, 34 ships of the Galician and Portuguese fleets participated.

Oral Group of Pedro Pazos was quickly placed at the front of the fleet after its northern exit, and was able to revalidate the victory that it achieved in the previous edition. The route between Sanxenxo and Baiona was 16 miles.

MBA Atlántico de Rui Ramada del Monte Real won in the southern version, with exit from Vigo and with only 9 miles of tour... despite leaving an hour before those in the north, in the absence of wind the Committee of Regatas, was forced to shorten at the entrance of the Ria de Baiona, at the beacon of Carallones.

20 / 04 / 2018: 31 ships compete in the Community of Sailing with departure of Sanxenxo and Vigo, and final in Baiona

The atmosphere between the J80, who will fight the National at the end of the month in Baiona

The Rías Baixas will witness tomorrow Saturday the dispute of the Community Trophy, one of the new cruise tests of the spring nautical calendar in Galicia, for its planning with two different ports... in which two hundred regatists will participate, in the 31 registered sailboats. This is the first major cruise trophy of the Monte Real Club de Yates in 2018, which also has the collaboration of the Real Club Nautico de Sanxenxo and the Real Club Nautico de Vigo, hosting the exits of the fleet in front of its facilities.

The double output, from Sanxenxo and from Vigo, is the main novelty of this year's Community Trophy, and will occur with an hour of difference. At one o'clock in the afternoon the horn will sound in the vicinity of the marina of Juan Carlos I, in Sanxenxo; and an hour later, at two o'clock, it will be the long one in front of the port of Vigo. Both fleets will end up getting together on a tour that will have its final point in Baiona Bay.

Among the candidates for the title we will see the winner of the previous edition in the category of cruises-regata, the Oral Group, of the Royal Nautical Club of Sanxenxo, which returns to the competition with Pedro Pazos to the controls and many desire to repeat victory. The winner of the previous year will also compete in the category of cruise, the Balea Dous de Luis Pérez, who will try to take to the Royal Nautical Club of Rodeira one of the trophy awards.
Among the J80 participants will be some of the monotypes that at the end of the month will be the Spanish Championship of the class held in Baiona, such as the Okofen of Javier de la Gandara, the Cansino of Fernando Yáñez or the Namasté of Luis de Mira. And in the Figaro class we will see some of the younger regatists, as the sailboats will be manned mainly by students from the School of Sailing of Mount Real Club of Yates.

The Community Trophy will join on Saturday the marine localities of Sanxenxo, Vigo and Baiona in which it will be the first great cruise competition organized by the Monte Real Club de Yates in 2018. With the collaboration of the Royal Nautical Club of Sanxenxo, the Real Nautical Club of Vigo and the Galician Federation of Vela, the Baionese club changes the format of the trophy this year and adds to the route Vigo-Baiona that was being held a new coastal tour, between Sanxenxo and Baiona.

There will therefore be two starting points with different distances to the same point of arrival... the Vigo-Baiona will have only 12 miles, while the Sanxenxo-Baiona six more, that is 18 miles... both tests are open to J80 and Fisgaros, amen of the cruises, that will have an "open" division for the less competitive... we must highlight the excellent fleet of J80 that are already preparing to participate in the next Spanish Championship of J80, which organizes the Royal Mount at the end of April
