During the weekend, the tenth edition of the Santa Catalina Trophy was held in the waters of Gijón Bay, with a total of five sleeves, three on Saturday and two on Sunday. The weather accompanied both days, but on Saturday a wind of Northeast component blew that would reach 15 knots, and more loose on Sunday, on this occasion would blow from the Northwest, in a stable race field.

In the Snipe class, Francisco Silvela and Juan Francisco Gómez had to fight until the last board to get the Trophy, very motivated in both days, were first in two of the four sleeves that the Snipes were fighting and with two other third parties in their locker they conquered the Trophy. The second square was obtained by the brothers Jaime and Iñigo Alvarez- Hevia, tied to points with the first, but with only one victory. Francisco Palacio and Alberto Suarez, who won the first manga, ended up in third place in the qualifying table.

Equality, too, between the Laser 4.7, where Alvaro Pérez was the best, awarded three sleeves, with a second and a third place rose to the top of the drawer. Diego Jiménez, for his part, obtained two first and three seconds, qualifying in second position. Jacobo Fernández would close the class podium.

Luis Díaz, had no rival in Laser Radial, scored four of the five sleeves disputed, and was second in the fourth by a desiste in the course of the tour. Sergio González with a victory in his having would end second, with Jesus Manuel Martínez third.

Among the Optimist, Covadonga Fernández was the best to get across the finish line first on four occasions, for its part, Carmen Simal would score the victory in the fourth manga ending in second position, the third square was for, Alvaro Alonso.
