The regatist of Club Nàutic Cambrils, Marcelo Cairo, has closed the weekend adding a new success to its spectacular palmaris. On this occasion the regatist has proclaimed himself as the youth subchampion of Europe in the Laser Radio class, competing last week with 130 regatists, in the European championship held in Hungary.

Cairo went from less to more in a championship with very hard conditions and in which the regatists - all of them under the age of 19 - could only sail in three of the six days scheduled for the races due to weather conditions.

Although Cairo had a first part of the more complicated championship, over the days it was winning positions to finish the championship with 32 net points, being second position just behind the Italian Gallinaro that was made with the first position of the Championship.

Let us remember that last season Cairo already won the European title sub21, the subchampionship in the absolute European and the Spanish and Spanish Cup championship also in Laser Radio. Success that has served him to proclaim himself together with the Club's also regatist, Marta Munté, as best regatists of the Year according to the Catalan Vela Federation.
