"Suen" wins the Regata of the Delta de Vela, in the Ampolla- La Ràpita version
This weekend, the Delta Regata, which runs along the southern coast of Catalonia, has been held with a call in the Marina Sant Carles de la Ràpita. The calms have conditioned the test, which prevented the North Fleet, which was leaving Port Ginesta, from arriving within the time limit to the finish line in Sant Carles de La Ràpita, while the ships registered in the Mini Delta Fleet, leaving the Port of the Ampolla, with a soft wind, allowed to classify several sailboats, which reached the arrival in Sant Carles Marina, such as the winner of the test the boat, the Suen, of Carlos Anguera or the Voga Marí Nou of Antoni Roig, winner in real time.
♪ The North version between Port Ginesta and Sant Carles Marina, was released with a low-intensity S-SW component wind that was gradually falling as it was lowered from latitude, becoming a great glow before reaching the Ràpita, after more than 19 hours of navigation, where the Don't Ask, headed the fleet, being about 25 miles away. The forecasts of a lack of wind, ruled out any possibility of arriving before the time limit.
♪ However, the fleet that contested the Mini Delta version was able to complete the route that separated the CN Ampolla from the Sant Carles Marina La Ràpita. In this version the absolute winner was the Suen, Archambault Coco of Carlos Anguera of the CN l'Ampolla followed by Elias II, Fury 32 of Alfred Rocha of the CN l'Ampolla, being the third classified Voga Marí Nou, Dufour 38 Classic of Antoni Roig of the CN Sant Carles de la Ràpita, which was the real-time winner of this tour.
12 / 04 / 2018: The Delta Regata celebrates its tenth anniversary with two versions: "north" and "mini delta"
Everything is ready for the X Regata del Delta, a coastal tour of southern Catalonia that this year marks its tenth anniversary. It will be developed from 20 to 21 April with its two versions, the North version, with output in the CM Port Ginesta and destination Sant Carles Marin- The Rípida and the MiniDelta version, with exit in the Nautical Club of L'Ampolla and arrival in San Carles Marina- La Rípita. It is already all in the preparations for this classic quote, which was born in 2009, aimed at bringing the sailors closer to the incomparable "Delta del Ebro."
- In its North Version, the Regata will sail on Friday, April 20, at 7 p.m. the CM Port Ginesta.
- The Mini Delta will last on Saturday, April 21, at 8 a.m. from the Nüutic L'Ampolla Club.
The Delta Regata, from Port Ginesta, presents an interesting and very tactical tour: leaving Port Ginesta in Sitges with arrival to Sant Carles de la Ràpita, south of the Delta del Ebro, is sailed by the sea of Tarragona. The first obstacle found by the sailors is the Cape Salou, south of Tarragona, which marks the beginning of the Gulf of Sant Jordi, another interesting point, the Gulf that must be crossed to Cape Tortosa, the third obstacle of the test, in the same mouth of the Ebro. The mesta is to reach Sant Carles de la Ràpita, south of the Delta.
