Javier Ojeda of the Real Club Náutico Gran Canaria in the male category and the mallorcan Maria Perelló, of the Club Nàutic S'Arenal in the female have been proclaimed champions of the Championship of Optimt of Spain 2018 that has been held in the tarraconense Club Nàutic Cambrils.
In the male category Sub16 they have completed the podium Javier Plomer, of the CV Port of Andratx and Pol Nuñez, of the Royal Nautical Club of Gran Canaria. In the category of Women Sub16 they have followed Perelló, Claudia Adan, from Club Náutico Santa Pola and Laura Martínez, from Real Club Náutico de Palma.
In the category of Women U13, the winners were, in first position, Sara Diaz of the Real Club Náutico Gran Canaria; Adriana Castro of the Real Club Náutico Torrevieja and third place for Yolanda Clement of the Club Náutico Santa Pola. The podium in the male category U13 has been for Pol Nuñez, of the Real Club Náutico Gran Canaria, Xavier García, of the Real Club Náutico de Palma and third position for Izan Codinachs, of the Club Náutico Sant Feliu de Guíxols.
From the Nàutic Cambrils Club we want to highlight the participation in the race of Joan Fargas and Zsombor Denes, who first participated in a championship of these characteristics, which has meant a great experience for them.
A total of 8 tests have been held during these days despite the weather difficulties of Friday and Saturday. On Saturday the championship had to be suspended due to the strong wind raches of more than 55 knots, so orange alert was ordered in much of the territory. The last day of the championship has been marked by the lebeche wind that has allowed to perform the three tests planned for today and an extra one since yesterday there was no race.

The Spanish Championship of Optimist - Grand Prix Fruites Font, which is held until Sunday April 1 at the Nautico de Cambrils, closes the first day with two completed tests. The Championship will be opened on Wednesday, March 28, at 19: 15 with a presentation that will take place along the Cambrils Sea Walk, with the parade of the regatists and the official photo of all the participating autonomous communities
The Nàutic Cambrils Club will host the Spanish Optimist Championship, Grand Prix Fruites Font, from March 28 to April 1. An event in which 150 regatists from 12 autonomous communities will participate, as well as 25 coaches and 42 organizational people. The championship was presented this morning at a press conference in which the mayor of Cambrils, Camí Mendoza, the president of the Néutic Cambrils Club, Ramon Vallverdú, the City Council sports councilman Josep Maria Vallès, the delegate of the Federació Catalana de Vela, Rosa Maria Carrasco, Jordina Gallinat, manager of the Néutic Cambrils Club and Pep Subirats, sports director of the Néutic Cambrils Club.
