The 'Mount Udala' has among its most outstanding amounts with a dead weight of 156,000 tons, 274 meters in length, 48 meters in sleeve and a total of 20,144 tons of steel used for its construction

According to the gaditano portal "La Voz de Cadiz" Navantia has delivered to the Ibaizábal Group the ship 'Monte Udala', first of the four Suezmax tankers hired in 2015 and that will be incorporated into the fleet of Cepsa under the mode of time charter, within the program of renewal of its fleet.

The 'Mount Udala' in the first of the Suezmax oil tankers, whose construction of each ship is assuming more than 725,000 hours of work, which translated to employment reaches an average of more than 2,000 people, between direct and indirect. The second and third oil tankers in the series are already in the dam of Puerto Real, in different stages of construction.

This oil tanker, called Suezmax because its dimensions are in full compliance with those of the Suez channel, is the first built in Spain and Europe in the last 20 years. The ship has the most advanced optimisations, both in energy efficiency and in the transport of cargo and safety.

The representatives of Navantia, as well as the president of the Sepi, the advisor of Cepsa and the president of the Ibaizábal group have emphasized that the launch of the oil tanker 'Monte Udala' is "an important day ', as it is evident the ability of NAvantia to face projects of this kind.
