The Ria de Muros- Noia Rural Development Association, formed by the municipalities of Lousame, Porto do Son, Outes, Muros and Noia, was formed by the public entities of the municipalities it represents in order to promote the sustained development of the area of its geographical region.

Having as a common coastal link the waters that bathe the Ria de Muros-Noia, the five concelos join in to Ria da Estrela to join efforts creating a unique and integrated destination, rich in its history, culture, gastronomy, nature and navigation qualities that the organization of the great French regatta La Solitaire URGO Le Figaro has not let go, to make it a stage port of the edition of this year 2018.

The facilities of the Real Club Náutico Portosín this morning hosted the signing of the historic protocol of agreement between the two sides, on one side Marine Derrien, Project Manager of La Solitaire URGO Le Figaro, and on the other Maria Teresa Villaverde Pais, as president of the Rural Association of Desenvolvimento Ria Muros@-@ Noia.

Accompanying the president of the ARD and mayor of Lousame, the mayors of Porto do Son, Luís Oujo Pouso, Noia, Santiago Freire Abeijón, Muros, María Xosé Alfonso Torres, and Outes, María Beatriz Molinos Vidal, as well as Francis Legoff, Director of the Regata and Caroline Le Lanchon, Coordinator of Etapa, also attended.

The Solitaire URGO Le Figaro is one of the most prestigious races in the world, considered the cradle in which the best patterns are formed due to its condition of navigation alone, the long stages in miles of journey between ports and the harsh conditions of an Atlantic sea that molds the rocky profiles of the ever spectacular Galician coast. The end of the arrival at the Ria de Muros and Noia of the race La Solitaire URGO Le Figaro will take place on 5 September, being its departure to begin the third stage of return to France on 8. The sea route distance from the second port of departure at the Baie de Saint-Brieuc is 520 nautical miles.
