San Martín de ValdeIglesias and Guadalix show their support for the Madrid candle

The Madrid Vela Federation held the General Assembly to approve the accounts for the financial year 2017 and the 2018 budget, among other items of the day. An assembly that was marked by the presence of the mayors of San Martín de ValdeIglesias, Mª Luz Lastras, who was accompanied by Luis Haro, 1st Lieutenant of Mayor and Pablo Luis Lastras, City Council of Sports, and Angel Luis García of Guadalix de la Sierra.

The 2017 accounts and the 2018 budgets were approved. In the sense Alfredo Platas highlighted the good economic progress of the federation with sound accounts and good prospects for the future. It also indicated that within the 2018 budgets the expected amount for the Optimist fleet is slightly increased.

With regard to the Madrid Azul programme, "after a year not too good, it has not been too bad," he said, adding that "the forecasts for 2018 are much more optimistic already we hope to have the presence of about 24 schools in the Community of Madrid."

At the sports level, the 2018 calendar was approved, although many of the races are pending water levels. In this section a review was made of the most relevant of the Madrid regatists in national and international regatas, highlighting the fleet Optimist or Snipe, so with the triumph in the King's Cup of the Brujo ship.
