The historic Real Club Nautico de La Coruña with new elections in sight

The presidency of the Royal Nautical Club of La Coruña has officially convened Elections for the full renewal of the Board of Directors: President, Vice President, Comfortor, Secretary, Deputy Secretary, Treasurer, Accountant and seven vocals. The deadline for submitting the appropriate applications is 15 days, from 7 March.

The big question is whether the outgoing president, Germán Suárez de Pumariega, will be presented to the re-election, with the opinion divided. It seems that Manocchio, as is familously known in the Nautico, the ex-president... is trying to bring together the 14 members of a candidate... but at the moment the possible components have not confirmed it. The resignation of Pumariega was forced by the impossibility of governing the Nautico, in the face of the renewal in January of half of the components of the Directive, staying in a minority, since these partial elections were won by a large majority, by the opposition.

07 / 03 / 2018: The opposition of the Nautico of La Coruña accepts the elections despite the irregularities

Written by the list of eight directors that are part of the Board of Directors renewed with the 50% elections held at the end of May, which are as follows: Gonzalo Abella (Vice-President), Héctor Guimaraens (Vice-President), Domingo Ortega, Juana Isabel Ferreiro, Guillermo Blanco, Alfonso Vilariño, Jorge Etchevarría and Pedro Torres.

In the above-mentioned letter, these eight elected directors argue, based on their judgment on manifest irregularities, that there was no need to call for new elections for the total board of directors, but because of the complex situation, in which surprisingly despite the social fracture German Suárez de Pumariega has expressed to his close relatives their intention to stand for re-election, they have taken for the sake of the Royal Nautical Club of La Coruña to accept the election to a good degree. 06 / 03 / 2018: Germán Suárez dissolves the Board of Directors of the Nautico de La Coruña... and weighs to stand for re-election

It was sung after the incorporation of half of its members in January, to the Board of Directors of the Royal Nautical Club of La Coruña... the statutes of the Herculino club are in a way late and thought of an idyllic relationship of those nautical knights from the beginning of the last century... but not when in a society there are disputes over power, as is the case of a time to this part in the Nautic of La Coruña.

For in this change of half of the Board he won the opposition by beating... and theoretically the term of "Manocchio" was presumed to be very complicated... but the resignation of two of his directors (of whom they were theoretically continuing) put things impossible to the veteran President of Coruñés... who has had no choice but to submit his resignation, to dissolve the Board of Directors and to call elections; the date of these will be known throughout today.
