Even if there is no official confirmation, it seems that the central sports dársena of the Harbour Authority of Vigo will be called "Julio Verne"... the truth is that the modernization works are going at full speed because they have to be ready next month... their completion in the European Championship of the J70 Class... and among other international cutting events will support the European Championship of Laser Master that will be held in the waters of the river of Vigo between 5 and 11 October.

The old dársena on the initiative of Enrique López Veiga, president of the Harbour Authority, has hung the public installation label... the investment is over 600,000 euros and will make the Port of Vigo, a modern first-line installation for the organization of nautical events. The first to benefit as it is logical the Royal Nautical Club of Vigo that has it at its feet, and that will premiere it in the promising European J70 in union of the Class in Spain... already in the autumn the Maritime Liceo of Bouzas and the Maritime Club of Vigo will be those that carry the baton of another European... that of Laser Master... that is we all win... the nautical in Vigo wins thanks to the initiative of the Harbour Authority of the Galician city, which has taken a step to the historical and above all social, modern and sustainable.

What we all love about water sports is that the different clubs of the river of Vigo face this splendid challenge of López Veiga, with joy, thanks and mutual generosity... and that great events such as those cited are organized, in which collaboration between all is as fruitful as possible.

The time has come for the modernity of Vigo nautical speaking, under the baton of the Port... and all from the Royal Nautical Club of Vigo as the unquestionable leader of the nautical in the south of Galicia, to the most modest of the nautical clubs, we must work from now on with as much cohesion and enthusiasm as possible.
