In the framework of the Children's Sailing Autonomous Trophy of the Royal Nautical Club of Calpe this weekend, the elections to the new Territorial Secretary of Optimist were held on Saturday. Two were the nominations to take over to which he had so far directed the Optimist of the Community for 8 years, Carlos Torrado.

Two initiatives and two ideas presented in the Calpine club by the Valencian Kiko Espí and the santapolero Javier Clement, being this winner in the ballot so Clement was elected Territorial Secretary.

For Clement, who congratulated Kiko Espí and Carlos Torrado on his career during all these years, he stressed at the end of the electoral process that "we must continue to improve the excellent work that has been done in the Valencia Community during these years, we will work with the coaches, sports directors and clubs so that the Optimist of the Valencia Community is a national and international reference through our athletes and the competitions that are organized in our clubs."

Javier Clement, a professional lawyer, is the current Vocal de Vela Ligera at the Nautical Club in Santa Pola. As a regatist he highlighted in the 1990s in windsurfing, in the Funboard category.
