Fliquete achieved 230 votes of the 630 valid, or the same as more than 36% of the votes

Alejandro Fliquete has been the new president of the Royal Nautical Club of Valencia since midnight, after winning 230 votes and overcoming his two rivals: Luis Ibáñez, who reached 210 and the outgoing president Julián Vico, who stayed in 190. A total of 630 voting partners approached the Canal Road facilities along Saturday.

There was a certain favoritism for Julián Vico, however no one escaped that Alejandro Fliquete had much support in the Nautico. The already Valencian president, notary of profession, is a great fan of nautical... as he is the master and shipowner of the ship "Majoche," a ship usual in the Valencian races and with some success in their performances. Fliquete had already presented himself in 2014 to the Nautical elections, but on that occasion Julián Vico closed the door to him by making more votes than he did, that is by little margin.

The new president comes with much illusion and strength to the office, and has self-proclaimed himself as "the only alternative to change, for Ibáñez's candidacy was in part a by-product of the Vico Julián...". This Saturday, the teams wishing to hold the presidency and board of the Royal Nautical Club of Valencia will participate in a meeting with the club's partners to present their respective electoral programs. On Saturday, March 10, the election day will take place at the Royal Nautical Club in Valencia, with the ballot boxes open from 9 to 20: 00. Two days earlier, on March 8, the electoral campaign that began on February 17 will end.
