Iberdrola has become the main driver of the CSD's' Universe Women 'program, being the first company to make a global commitment to encourage women's participation in all areas of sport

The Director General of Sports of the CSD, Jaime González Castaño, has said that Spain "needs more Maialen Chourraut"in reference to the Olympic champion of Piragüism, whose sport has presented today the women's Iberdrola Leagues, which the Spanish Federation of Piragüismo organizes in the specialities of dragon ship, kayak polo, kayak sea, and rivers and marathon. Together with González Castaño, they have participated in the presentation of these competitions, held at the headquarters of the Superior Council of Sports in Madrid, the president of the state federal entity, Juan José Román Mangas, and the head of Patrocio de Iberdrola, Carmen Cabrera.

The dragon and kayak polo leagues, which have a dozen participating clubs, will deliver 5,000 euros each; the sea kayak leagues, with more than twenty clubs, will have 10,000 euros, and the rivers and marathon, in which a hundred teams take part, will have 20,000 euros.
