La Nao Victoria and the Galeón Andalucía will first attract in the city of Mataró. They will do so from March 22 to 25 at the Mataró Marina Barcelona de Varador 2000 nautical base. The arrival of these two historic ships to Mataró is the prelude of the Maresmar - Trobada de Centenaris 2018 maritime festival that organizes Varador 2000 next June in Arenys de Mar and Mataró.

La Nao Victoria is a replica of the ship that made the first round of the world (1519- 1522), while the Galeón Andalucía is a replica of the legendary Spanish galleons protagonists of the commercial routes that joined Europe with America and the Philippines. The two boats can be visited by the public of Mataró and all the villages of the Maresme during the four days mentioned, continuously from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

The visit to these two ships is unprecedented in the Maresme. Visitors will be able to visit the decks and the wineries of these two impressive ships, authentic floating museums and masterpieces of the riverside carpentry, which arrive for the first time in Mataró after walking thousands of nautical miles and surpassing the seas all over the world, making their history known and spreading the maritime heritage.
