The Euro Laser Masters Cup, which will be held on the next days from 12 to 15 April in the waters of Calella de Palafrugell, is an important participation of regatists from across the Atlantic. The well-known American master laserist, Mike Mattan, in the Standard class, has made his pre-registration to this prestigious European test. The veteran regatist has the desire to sail in the emblematic regatta field of Club Vela Calella, in this classic test that brings together the best European masters. Mike Mattan, a regular participant in the Laser races of the East American Coast, and who has also sailed a lot in Europe, when for his professional commitments they took him to this part of the Atlantic, will be in the Euro Laser Masters. The Canadian regatist Michael Couture, of the Gimli YC club, located in the Lake of Minitoba, in central Canada and the Brazilian Fabio Suyama Ramos, has also formalized its registration.

Apart from these entrances of transoceanic lasers, the pace of European registration is constant. In the last few weeks, the records of Italian regatists such as Roberto Bini, Seppe Cavalli or Alfio Squadrito are very well known in the Italian laser competitions and those that are organized in Lake di Garda. The Norwegian Atle Lohrmann, the Dutch Rik Wolters, Chris Van der vorm or Wouter Duetz, the Swiss Guy Willeret, Beat Heinz and the French Pierre Gosselin, Pierre Roche, Christelle Marsault, Georges During, Poopy Marçon, Sebastien Heyndrickx, Philippe Volpelliere have also been registered.

To highlight in that edition the Euro Laser Masters Cup, the strong presence of regatists who will compete in Laser Standard, the most large area of the Velian, where up to this moment almost half of the registered are in this class, with great concurrence between Dutch, British, German, American, Italian, Norwegian and French regatists, in addition to the Spanish, focused mainly among the Levine and the Bétio lasers.

The European Laser Master Championship will take place in the waters of the Vigo River, with the organization of the Bouzas Maritime Liceo and the Vigo Maritime Club, from 5 to 11 October.
