"Bribón VII" and "Es Tes Unno" dominate the Trophy Interclubs Jordi Vives
The Bribón VII, by Juan Antonio Alarcón of the Club de Vela Mataró, in ORC, and the Es Tes Unno, by Francisco Soldevila the Real Club Nautico of Barcelona, in RI, are provisionally leading the general classification of the 43rd edition of the Interclubs Trofeo Jordi Vives, after completing a test, held last Sunday.
On Saturday, at the start of the Interclubs Championship, the planned tests for both ORC-RI Challenge and Performance could not be performed due to poor wind conditions. The Lone and A2 class was the only one to perform the scheduled test, in the waters of the Real Club Marítimo in Barcelona. The Biralau, patronized by Vincent Gonnord of Mataró, occupies the provisional leadership, after two disputed trials.
On Sunday a total of 56 yachts of cruise took part in the journey between the Real Club Nautico de Barcelona and the Club Nautico El Balís, of Sant Andreu de Llavaneres, with a wind of between 6 and 20 knots during the race.
By category, the Es Tes Unno, by Francisco Soldevila (RCN Barcelona) was imposed in ORC 0-1 and also in RI 0-1. For its part, the Bribón VII did the same in ORC 2-3 and the Papageno, directed by Luis Masriera del Maritim Barcelona, in ORC 4, while the Varano del Desierto, of Santiago Twose of the Nautico de Arenys de Mar, ended in first position in RI 2-3.
The next day of the Jordi Vives Trophy Interclubs Championship will take place on February 24, with the journey that will join the CN El Balís with the CN Premià. In turn, on the 25th the crews will make the tour between Premià and the CN of Areny de Mar, which will close the competition on March 10 and where will decide the title of one of the tests with the greatest route of the Catalan calendar of races.
