The regatist of the Nautical Club of Jávea, Rafa Andarias, has again taken the title of Spanish Open champion of the Paralympic class 2.4mR. Good general wind conditions in the three days of competition, with North component wind that has been ranging from 7- 15 knots of intensity. This enabled the race committee to complete the established programme of 9 tests.

Andarias again demonstrated his level, maintaining a good regularity throughout the championship, as their numbers are credited in the general classification. The one from Xàbia started the canarian quote with a partial triumph and was to repeat it even on two other occasions, test 4 and 8. In the locker of the Paralympic regatist there were two small partials that were unfavorable to their interests and that made the title a little compromised. In the 5th trial he signed a 6 and in the next one he ended up in discrete 10th place.

In spite of this and the discards applied Andarias finished the championship in the first square with 21 points, followed by two representatives of Finland: Fabian Björndhal and Janne Laine, the first with 23 points and the second with 26.

The national podium was configured with Rafa Andarias of the Náutico Club of Jávea, with 21 points, followed by Borja Melgarejo of the Club of Mar of Puerto Sherry, with 35 points and occupying the 5th square of the absolute general, and Jordi Cargo (CV Palamós), with 54 points, located the 7th place.
