According to Iusport, the electoral board of the Spanish Federation of Remo officially proclaimed the candidacies of José Manuel Álvarez, Asunción Rosario Loriente, Sergio Paredes and Manuel Vera for the presidential elections to be held next day in an extraordinary meeting of its General Assembly. In the absence of any complaints after the proclamation of the four on a provisional basis, the FER confirmed the names of the candidates for the post left by Catalan Luis Miguel Oliver last October... who submitted his resignation in the face of the strong pressures of one of the territories, who considered that the one who was excellent remer, did not have the necessary knowledge to get the Spanish Federation of Remo out of mediocrity, in which the dissidents have been reigning for many years.

It should be noted that two of the candidates: Asunción Rosario Lorente and José Manuel Alvarez, have shown doubts in the documentation submitted by their rivals, and have therefore asked the electoral board to exercise their right to review the vouchers submitted by them.
