The thirty-fifth National Gala of Piragüismo was held in the auditorium Alfredo Goyeneche of the Spanish Olympic Committee of Madrid in which the baleares Marcus Cooper Walz and Adriana Paniagua have collected the awards to best senior palists of the 2017 season. The organization of the event, which was very lucid, was in charge of the Spanish Federation of Piragüismo.

The Spanish athlete who won the largest number of Olympic medals, the Galician canoist David Cal, and the quadruple Olympic medalist, the Catalan kayakist Saul Craviotto, have delivered some of the trophies along with the president of the Spanish Piragüismo Federation, Juan José Román Mangas, and his counterpart of the International Federation, José Perurena.

The Deputy Director General of Women and Sport of the Higher Council of Sports, Susana Pérez-Amor, and his counterpart of Alta Competido, Carlos Gascón, also took part in the ceremony, in which both have agreed to assess the management with which those responsible for the Spanish Federation of Piragüismo has committed the situation of the management of the entity.
