Alicante, Castellón and Denai will be the headquarters of the four races of the Spanish calendar

The official calendar of Formula Kite, the discipline of sailing with the highest growth in Spain in recent years, was presented to the media this Wednesday during the opening day of the International Tourism Fair, FITUR that is taking place during these days in Madrid.

The presentation was attended by Dña. Inés Herrador, Secretary of the Board of Directors of the Royal Spanish Vela Federation, Mr Vicente Grimalt, Mayor of Denia, Dña. Eva Montesinos, Councillor of Sport, Tourism and Beaches of the City of Alicante and Manuel Sanz, Technical Director of the Formula Kite Spain Series.

The 2018 Kite Formula race calendar will be composed of the Kite Spain Series Formula and the Spanish Class Championship.

The Real Club de Regatas de Alicante will open the official calendar of competitions of the class being the inaugural seat of the Formula Kite Spain Series 2018 between 9 and 11 February. The witness will then collect the Eolo Castellón Sports Club, holding the second national circuit test between 4 and 6 May. The final test of the Spain Series 2018 will also serve as the stage of the Autonomous Championship of the Valencian Community of the class, held in the waters of Denia between 25 and 27 May with the seat of the Club Deportivo Marina El Portet.

After the first phase of the official calendar of Formula Kite 2018, the best athletes of this modality will be faced during the Spanish Formula Kite 2018 Championship, which will rehost the Marina El Portet Sports Club of Denia, and from where they will come, along with the tests of the Spain Series, the national Formula Kite 2018 team that will represent Spain during the European and world class, to celebrate in France and Denmark respectively.
