A powerful J80 class race calendar has just been presented by the J80 Shipowners Association a few dates ago. The national high-level citations... Spanish Championship and the Spanish Cup, which both reach its twelfth edition, will be held under the ever-challenging conditions of the Atlantic, with the Mount Real Club of Bayona Regates and the Real Club of Regats of the Abra-Real Sporting Club as hosts.

The XII Spanish Championship of J80 will be held from April 27 to May 4 in Atlantic waters of southern Galicia, under the organization of the emblematic Monte Real Club of Bayona Yates. The harsh conditions that usually characterize this navigation area promise a priori a dispute of the national title that will be complicated.

After the national title dispute, between June 21 and 24, it will take place in Basque waters of Getxo the XII Cup of Spain of these monotypes, in an event that will serve as a test to the Club Marítimo del Abra-Real Sporting Club face the great challenge they will face in 2019 with the World Championship of J80.

For more than a decade, the Spanish fleet of J80, which has been a clear reference on these ships, will move to the Breton port of Sables D'Olonne of the pure ocean sail - to fight a world title that has had a Spanish accent for years. The international meeting, which has a high budget for its organization and which hopes to exceed 100 registered, will be held between 7 and 14 July.

Although there is no high-performance quotation in 2018 the local fleets of the Andalusian, Cantabra and Catalan Community presuppose this season of a great calendar of races that will make their fleets present in the most important quotations in a great state of form.

Andalusia will again have an extensive race circuit that will focus mainly on the fleet of Cadiz and Málaga, while in Cantabria the twenty units of J80 have intense weekly races. Catalonia, for its part, is fighting its Winter Series for the J80 class that is disputed from October to March.
