The forecast indicates that the next European of sea kayak will have the participation of some two hundred sportsmen representing 20 countries

The Alicantina town of Villajoyosa will host the European Championship of Sea Kayak on 6 and 7 October 2018, as agreed by the European Federation of Piragüismo, ECA for its initials in English. The Náutico Club La Vila de Villajoyosa, on the proposal of the Spanish Federation of Piragüismo, will be the body in charge of the organization of the test, with which it is awarded its long organizational tradition in the modality also known as surfski and ocean racing, in which it includes having held a European Cup and ten editions of the Eurochallenge, as well as several Spanish Championships and Copas.

The Spanish Federation has adapted the national calendar to the celebration of the European of sea kayak and has scheduled three weeks before the celebration of the continental test the celebration of the Spanish Championship of the speciality, in which the qualifying tests for the national palists will take place.

Today Spain is one of the main European powers, along with France and Portugal... in the last European Championship the supreme gold medal in K1 men was for the asturian Walter Bouzan and in women the Navarra Amaia Osaba obtained the silver.
