November also marks the trend towards the rise of the boat market

From January to November this year, 5,135 recreational boats have been registered in Spain compared to 4,681 in the same period in 2016, a growth of 9.7%. Of the total number of registered vessels, 1,540 are for rental use (30%), the charter market has grown by 24.8% in the period under review. These are the data collected in the Report on the market for recreational craft (energy-November 2017), edited by ANEN on the basis of information provided by the General Directorate of the Merchant Navy.
They grow all the length. The ships up to 8 meters grow by 7.4%, enrolling 4,533 vessels, compared to 4,222 registered in the same period of 2016. It remains the most demanded segment of ships in Spain (88.3% of the nautical market).
The range between 8 and 12 meters is 25.8%, with 371 enrolments compared to 2956 last year. The ships between 12 and 16 meters grow by 36.7%, with 164 registrations over 120 registered in the same period of 2016. The ships over 16 meters continue to grow more prominently, 52.3% in this period in which they record 67 enrollments compared to 44 recorded between January and November 2016.
By type of boat, motor ships grow by 11.9%, with 2,321 new registrations compared to 2,074 last year (until November), and with the highest market share (45.2%)
Water motorcycles are growing by 11.5%, with 1,114 units registered over 999 in the same period in 2016. The folding pneumatic vessels fall slightly by -1.5% and the semi-rigid vessels grow by 11.1%. The candle is growing by 4.6%, enrolling 295 units compared to 282 units recorded between January and November 2016.
The rental market has a growth of 24.8% in enrolment. From January to November 2017, 1,540 recreational boats were registered for rent, compared with 1,234 in the same period last year.
The length up to 8 meters, the most demands also in the rental market (83.5%), are growing by 20.4%. The rent of ships between 12 and 16 meters of eslorais the most growing, 92.5%; and 78.9% of those of more than 16 meters.
Catalonia with 22.71% share, occupies the first position on the national nautical market and has a growth of 17.54%. Andalusia, second by market share (16.83%), however, has a fall of -6%. Thirdly, there is the Balearic Islands (16.48% of the market) which has a growth of 7.98% of its enrolments. The rental market is led by Balearic Islands in this period with a share of 24.94%, followed by Catalonia which represents 24.74%. Thirdly, the Valencia Community is located, which accounts for 16.69% of the charter market between January and November of this year.
